Scam Sniffer reported that new forms of crypto-malware, known as “Wallet Drainers”, stole over $295m from 324,000 victims in 2023. This software is used on phishing websites to trick users into authorizing harmful transactions, leading to the theft of crypto wallets. These attacks strategically coincide with group-related events, such as airdrops or hacking incidents. In response to fisheries leaving, new ones replace them.
