Viral sicknesses rise amid 'quad-demic' in US

The U.S. is facing an increase in viral sicknesses in early 2025 due to the ongoing “quad-demic” which involves COVID-19, influenza, the Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and norovirus, as per CDC data. Emergency department visits are high for RSV and influenza and elevated for COVID-19. Wastewater viral activity levels for COVID-19 and influenza A are high, while RSV activity levels are moderate.
