Victorian hospital group Epworth Healthcare is potentially the victim of a data breach, with 40GB of sensitive patient data allegedly leaked to the dark web by ransomware gang Global Group. However, Epworth denies any systems breach, and suggests the incident may involve a third party unconnected to its IT environment. Global Group, which also targeted Ascot Vale Health Group and Deakin Medical Centre, has published a countdown to the data’s release on its dark web blog.
