A man from Van Nuys is expected to plead guilty to a federal conspiracy charge for advertising and selling malware that allowed buyers to access and control computers, stealing victims’ personal information. Edmond Chakhmakhchyan, 25, allegedly worked with a malware creator to market the Hive remote access trojan on the Hack Forums website. The indictment suggests that Chakhmakhchyan could face up to five years in prison.
