Valve upgrades Steam’s security after several games are hacked and filled with malware

Valve is improving security for its Steam game developers following an attack that saw hackers taking over several accounts and adding malware. The company will introduce text message verification for developers setting live builds on the default public branch of a released app, as well as those needing to add new users. The changes will take effect on 24th October 2023.
