Valve Bolsters Steam’s Security Measures Following Malware Attacks on Game Developers

Valve is introducing an SMS-verification requirement for game developers amid cyberattacks on its digital distribution platform. This measure aims to curb incidents of developers’ accounts being hacked to insert malware into game builds. The changes are to be implemented from October 24 and apply to new releases and the addition of new users to Steamworks groups.
