The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) continues to grapple with the impact of a February ransomware attack. While there were no impacts on patient safety, many data systems were affected, creating long backlogs for billing and prescriptions. The VA expects full services and operations to be restored by February 2023. The VA has also confirmed there were no known breaches of patient data after the cyber-attack.
