USB Drives Used as Trojan Horses By Camaro Dragon

Chinese malware variants are spreading through infected USB drives and have attacked a European healthcare institution, discovered by Check Point Research. Initial access was ostensibly gained via an employee’s USB drive contaminated at an Asian conference. The malware, part of the “SSE” toolset, leads to not only a compromised machine, but also spreads to new removable drives, highlighting the global reach of the Chinese-based espionage perpetrator, Camaro Dragon.
