USAID cuts could send global health into chaos

The Trump administration has ended almost all foreign aid spending from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), terminating nearly 5,800 healthcare projects, including HIV treatments and prevention, tuberculosis, polio, malaria, Ebola etc. impacting developing countries. It has claimed these actions are aligned with the national interests and foreign policy. This move has sparked protests from numerous organisations, including non-profits, which have warned these decisions will cost millions of lives worldwide and lead to chaos in global health.
