The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is probing the breach of Progress Software’s MOVEit file transfer tool that affected over 2,000 organisations and exposed the data of around 64 million people. The company is now facing numerous legal battles due to the incident, costing them $1m so far. The number of organisations impacted reached 2,547 as of October 12.
