US Health-ISAC whitepaper highlights cybersecurity responsibilities in medical device lifecycle, focuses on resilience

The U.S. Health-ISAC has released a whitepaper on maintaining the cyber resilience of medical devices throughout their lifecycle. It recommends manufacturers should have primary responsibility for cybersecurity during the development phase, with the role transitioning to healthcare delivery organisations (HDOs) as the device enters use. It is important HDOs assess for continuing risk, especially as a device approaches end of life, after which the manufacturer no longer provides updates or patches.
