US employee screening giant DISA says hackers accessed data of more than 3M people

Employee screening services provider DISA Global Solutions has reportedly incurred a data breach impacting over 3.3 million individuals. The company confirmed the breach to Maine’s attorney general on Monday, after discovering the incident on April 22, 2024, though it had occurred unnoticed since February 9, 2024. DISA could not ascertain the specific data accessed, but disclosed that the stolen data may include social security numbers and financial account information.
