The Chinese advanced persistent threat operation RedDelta, also known as Mustang Panda, used new PlugX malware to target Taiwan, Mongolia, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam from July 2023 to December 2024. The attacks started with phishing emails containing malicious files. The group’s focus shifted back to Asia in 2023 and 2024 after targeting European organizations in 2022.
