United States Charges Developer of LockBit Ransomware Group

Rostislav Panev, a 51-year-old dual Russian-Israeli national, has been extradited to the U.S. for his role as a developer in the LockBit ransomware group. Arrested in Israel, he faces a 41-count indictment tied to attacks on over 2,500 victims globally. Authorities claim Panev developed crucial components of the ransomware, impacting hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure.
