UnitedHealth Group has revealed that approximately 190 million people were affected by the 2024 cyberattack on Change Healthcare, double previous estimates. Despite fears the exposed data could be used in subsequent cyberattacks, there is so far no evidence of misuse. The company has already notified most of those affected and paid an initial ransom of $22 million to the hackers, thought to be affiliated with the ALPHV operation.
