Britain’s parliament spending watchdog has warned that the country is wasting billions of pounds on poorly managed projects and outdated IT systems. Gareth Davies, head of the National Audit Office (NAO) will call for a new approach to handling big projects and overhauling outdated IT systems. Davies urged for cost savings in five major areas: infrastructure, asset management, procurement, IT systems, and fraud reduction. He also suggested the formation of a cross-government oversight board to improve decision-making.
