UK wasting ‘tens of billions’ on crumbling infrastructure and badly run projects | Public services policy

The UK’s National Audit Office (NAO) head, Gareth Davies, will argue that billions of pounds are being wasted on poorly executed projects, outdated IT systems, and neglected infrastructures. In his annual speech, he will urge the government to target five key areas, including infrastructure, procurement, and IT systems, in order to save money. He stresses that better decision-making processes and maintenance discipline are essential for these improvements.
