The Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust in the UK has confirmed a cyber attack by the Inc Ransom ransomware gang, with adult patient records released on the dark web. The hackers accessed the data through a shared portal with Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and Royal Liverpool University Hospital. The institution, one of Europe’s largest children’s hospitals, insist services remain unaffected and no children’s data has been compromised. An investigation is ongoing.
