Ubuntu will manually review Snap Store after crypto wallet scams

The Snap Store for Ubuntu’s Linux distribution has been targeted by a series of malicious, counterfeit cryptocurrency wallet uploads, leading to extensive losses for unsuspecting users. Responding to the issue, engineers at the firm are manually reviewing all apps before they are made available. They will also reject any apps suspected of being malicious or related to crypto wallets, with a formal policy anticipated regarding approved publication of such wallets on the Snap Store.
