Cyber threats have mostly targeted sectors of education, aviation, and healthcare within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), accounting for 80% of targeted organisations. This data was revealed by Help AG at the 2024 Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference, where the need for improved cybersecurity was emphasised due to the increasing sophistication of cyber threats and the high costs of data breaches in the Middle East.
