According to a survey conducted by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, the majority of American consumers have concerns over the privacy and security of their medical records. About three-quarters of respondents were either very or somewhat concerned. Additionally, 10 percent of respondents withheld information from their healthcare provider due to these concerns.
