Trump admin fires security board investigating Chinese hack of large ISPs

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will dismiss advisory committees that undermine its mission, President Trump’s agenda or American constitutional rights, according to a DHS statement. The decision may impact the Cyber Safety Review Board, investigating the Salt Typhoon hack of major telecoms, as well as the Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Board. Democrat Bennie Thompson expressed concern that the board will be filled with Trump loyalists, slowing the crucial work on cyber security.
