Toyota sealed up a backdoor to its global supplier management network

Eaton Zveare, a security researcher, successfully hacked into Toyota’s supplier management network, potentially risking the data of around 3,000 suppliers and 14,000 users worldwide. He gained access to the carmaker’s Global Supplier Preparation Information Management System (GSPIMS) as a system administrator through a backdoor in the login system. However, Toyota patched the vulnerability promptly following its identification.
