Toolkit Vastly Expands APT41’s Surveillance Powers

China’s APT41 threat group is deploying a new spyware toolkit, DeepData Framework, against organisations across South Asia. The threat actor’s toolkit includes 12 plug-ins to steal data and communications from targeted systems, including major platforms like WhatsApp, Signal, and Microsoft Outlook. DeepData expands APT41’s surveillance capabilities and demonstrates a strategy of methodically increasing its abilities to steal sensitive data undetected.
