Three interesting bills: medical debt, mobile home park tenant rights and state data breaches

The Mercury has highlighted some notable proposed bills from Virginia’s 2024 legislative session that could have been overlooked. Among these are a bill to shorten the statute of limitations on medical debt collection from five to three years, legislation enhancing rights for mobile home park residents, and a bill requiring state agencies to notify residents of data breaches. The bills are at various stages in the legislative process.
