This Healthcare Data Breach Compromised 5.5 Million Patients’ Information

Yale New Haven Health suffered a data breach in March 2025, with hackers stealing the data of over 5.5 million individuals. This follows other major cyber attacks on healthcare organizations revealing patient data. The organization has begun to inform affected patients and is offering credit monitoring and identity protection services, alongside potential class-action lawsuits. The breached data did not include medical records, treatment information or financial data.
