This devious new malware technique looks to hijack Windows itself to avoid detection

Cybersecurity researchers from Akamai have found that UI Automation, a feature in Windows designed to assist users with disabilities, could be exploited by malware. This makes it difficult for antivirus programs to detect. The researchers advise admins to monitor the use of UIAutomationCore.dll and any opened named pipes on an endpoint to detect potential attacks.
