Printer brand Procolored inadvertently bundled malware with its software for around six months. The malware included XRedRat and SnipVex, which provide remote access to infected machines and steal Bitcoin transactions, respectively. While there are no indications that Procolored intentionally distributed the malware, the incident raised concerns over the company’s cybersecurity practices. Procolored has removed the malware and initiated an internal investigation.
