UK telecoms regulator Ofcom has shared suggestions for how porn sites can verify a user’s age under the new Online Safety Act. The proposals include verification from a bank or mobile network, supplying valid credit card details, or using facial recognition technology. Ofcom will continue consulting on the guidelines for about a year and will also look at the regulation of user-generated content.
