Healthcare security teams dealing with Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) devices face tens of thousands of vulnerabilities but often have limited resources to address them. To manage this, techniques like the Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS) can help prioritize which vulnerabilities to address based on their risk level. However, protecting these devices is a difficult task, as many older devices do not receive regular updates and can have numerous potential vulnerabilities. Security teams must dynamically adjust their strategies given these conditions. EPSS should be used as a component within a comprehensive IoMT security deployment plan, not a standalone solution.
