The Role of Access Control Systems in Healthcare

Access control systems regulate access to resources within an organization, and can be categorized into three types: Role-Based, Discretionary, and Mandatory. Role-Based Access Control assigns permissions based on job functions, while Discretionary Access Control shares information based on necessity.
