The Philippines’ digitalisation push could face serious cyber threats from malware, social engineering, phishing, smishing, AI scams, supply chain attacks, and ransomware in 2025, according to a report by Check Point External Risk Management (Cyberint). It highlighted that malware infections often started from personal devices used for work, thereby exposing corporate systems. As AI becomes more advanced, the likelihood of cyber threats also increases.
