The nastiest malware of 2023

OpenText Cybersecurity’s sixth annual threat report reveals four new ransomware gangs dominating this year, with Cl0p named the most notorious for its hefty ransom demands. Despite a rise in ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS), figures show an all-time low in businesses paying ransoms, suggesting increased investments in security. Other top threats listed include Black Cat, Akira, Royal, and Lockbit 3.0.
