The Cyberwar Between the East and the West Goes Through Africa

Nation-state hackers have become a significant weapon for global warfare. Africa’s position between Eastern and Western nations makes it a hub of such attacks, with a large increase in cyberattacks reported. The combination of Africa’s economic ties with the East and West, and cyber threat landscapes, makes it vulnerable to nation-backed cyber threats. To combat these, Africa and the West need to work together to share knowledge and deploy efficient combat tools to thwart such attacks.
