The BCC line- ICO guidance issued

UK educational establishments must communicate with various audiences via email while protecting personal data under General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Historically, recipients of bulk emails were visible, which could lead to data breaches. A solution is to use the ‘blind copy’ line in emails, but this can still result in data breaches, requiring a more secure transmission method. Institutions need to consider their communication practices and regularly review their data protection policies.
