The association between handgrip strength and functional outcomes in long COVID-19

In long Covid patients, low handgrip strength (HGS), indicative of dynapenia (loss of muscle strength and power), is connected to worse health outcomes, a study finds. The researchers suggest that HGS measurement could be a practical, cost-effective biomarker for functional impairment. This approach could particularly aid lower-income countries, improving early screening and managing long-term Covid patients.
