A cyber attack on Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Centers has impacted the data of 1.4 million patients, with cyber attackers gaining access to a range of sensitive personal and medical information. The breach took place between 17-29 September, with a ransomware group called Interlock claiming responsibility for stealing 3.2 terabytes of data. The university is notifying affected individuals and offering free credit monitoring whilst also reviewing its security policies.
