Hackers have accessed over 1.4 million patients’ private data from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, affecting centers in Lubbock and El Paso. The cyberattack, in September, resulted in access to files and folders containing sensitive information such as names, social security numbers, financial account information, medical records, and diagnostic data. Although not yet confirmed by the university, the Interlock ransomware group reportedly claimed responsibility for the incident.
