T-Mobile was reportedly targeted in a cyberespionage attack allegedly linked to a Chinese intelligence agency. However, T-Mobile claimed that no significant impacts were observed on their systems or data, nor was there evidence of access to customer or other sensitive information. The Chinese hackers, referred to as Salt Typhoon, have also targeted AT&T, Verizon, and Lumen Technologies in what some US officials suggest is a large-scale and potentially catastrophic cyber espionage campaign.
