The LockBit ransomware group claims it has breached the database of sandwich chain Subway and stolen data pertaining to “all financial aspects” of the fast food franchise. The group alleges it took hundreds of gigabytes of data, including employee salaries and restaurant turnovers, warning that it may sell the data to competitors if not dealt with. The chain is investigating the validity of these claims and has yet to publicly respond.
