Strengthening Czech-Slovak Defence Innovation: Decent Cybersecurity at the AOBP & ZBOP Industry Presentation

Decent Cybersecurity participated in the fifth presentation of Czech companies from the defense and security industry. The event took place on October 22 at the Hotel Devín in Bratislava, serving as a platform for industry engagement and professional exchange. Representing our organization was Pavol Krcho, PhD., our Senior IT Consultant, who actively engaged with Czech and Slovak industry representatives, government officials, and defence partners throughout the day.

Building Defence Bridges Across Borders

The presentation was a collaborative effort, meticulously organized by the Association of the Defence and Security Industry of the Czech Republic (AOBP) and the Association of the Security and Defence Industry of the Slovak Republic (ZBOP). Support was also provided by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic.

The program began with introductory remarks from high-level officials and industry leaders. These included Rudolf Jindrák, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Slovak Republic , Igor Melicher, First Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic , and Radka Konderlová, Director General of the Industrial Cooperation Section of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. Further industry perspectives were provided by Jiří Hynek, President of AOBP ČR , and Pavel Čahoj, President of ZBOP SR.

Their speeches emphasized the growing importance of Czech-Slovak cooperation in building resilient defence capabilities and promoting technological sovereignty within Central Europe. With rising challenges in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and modern warfare technologies, the shared vision of cross-border collaboration was stronger than ever.

Innovation, Technology, and Secure Futures

Following the opening ceremony, twenty-two Czech companies presented their latest technologies and solutions for the defence and security sector. Around sixty experts from both countries attended, creating an active environment for exchanging ideas, exploring synergies, and forming new partnerships.

Decent Cybersecurity’s participation highlighted its position as a European deep-tech company that bridges cutting-edge research and real-world defence applications. Our expertise in quantum-resistant cybersecurity, blockchain-based trust systems, and secure communication protocols aligns perfectly with the event’s theme—building technological resilience and strategic self-reliance within the region.

As we discussed with partners, the company’s ongoing projects in critical infrastructure protection, post-quantum cryptography, and national cybersecurity frameworks make Decent Cybersecurity a key contributor to Europe’s secure digital transformation.

Importance of Industry Participation

For Decent Cybersecurity, attending such events goes beyond networking. It represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen partnerships across borders, align with regional innovation policies, and contribute to the development of European defence capabilities.

The AOBP & ZBOP presentation showcased emerging technologies and provided a forum for meaningful dialogue between the public and private sectors. This exchange helps identify concrete ways to enhance digital sovereignty and cyber resilience – principles that stand at the core of Decent Cybersecurity’s mission.

As Slovakia and the Czech Republic continue to deepen their cooperation in defence innovation, Decent Cybersecurity remains committed to developing future-ready solutions that ensure the safety, integrity, and resilience of European digital ecosystems.
