Stolen Data: National PTA Database Available on Dark Web

The National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has suffered a data breach, affecting approximately 77,000 records. The breached records include personal and institutional details. Data was allegedly obtained and made available on the dark web in March 2024. The data records cover nine years and impact all 50 states. The information includes certificates of insurance, school registrations, partial payment information, and PTA membership details. The data set is being offered for four “credits,” approximately 1 Euro.
