A new malware campaign called SparkCat, which uses screenshots to access cryptocurrency wallet data, has emerged. The malware, identified by cybersecurity firm Kaspersky, is found within mobile apps in both Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. This is reportedly the first time such an attack has impacted Apple’s ecosystem. It appears to work through reading photo galleries and sending useful account details back to attackers who potentially exploit them to steal.
