South Korea’s Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) has been spearheading the development of smart hospitals to improve healthcare services, reduce workload, and enhance operational efficiency. Following a successful pilot involving 17 hospitals and 74 smart tools, KHIDI aims to expand the initiative nationwide. The concept has received strong positive feedback from both staff and patients, who experienced reduced stress and improved care. The smart hospitals aim to efficiently utilise appropriate technology at the right time and place.
