Some hospitals reinstating mask requirements amid rise in COVID

Major US health systems, including Mass General Brigham and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Massachusetts, are reintroducing mask requirements amid rising COVID-19 and respiratory infection cases. These requirements apply to healthcare staff interacting directly with patients, whilst patients and visitors are advised strongly to wear masks. Other systems, such as Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital, require masks for staff and patients. Requirement removal will depend on persistently lower rates of similar infections, staff absences, and hospital visits.
