Fortinet has confirmed that an unauthorised person accessed a limited number of customer files on a third-party cloud-based shared drive. The cybersecurity company maintained that its operations and services were unaffected. However, a dark web user named “Fortibitch” has claimed to have stolen 440GB of Azure SharePoint files from Fortinet and offered them for download. The person also alleged the company declined to pay a ransom to prevent the data leak.
