The Walt Disney Company is cutting ties with Slack after a significant hack on the platform earlier this year compromised over a terabyte of sensitive Disney data. CFO Hugh Johnston confirmed the company’s decision to gradually transition away from Slack, with a full migration expected to be completed by Q2 2025. The attackers reportedly had inside help from a Disney employee, and much of the stolen data was obtained through Disney’s Slack chat.
