South Korean mobile network operator SK Telecom has revealed a malware attack beginning in 2022 exposed the data of 27 million users. Twenty-five types of malware were found across 23 servers, suggesting a broader attack than initially identified. The malware led to access of Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) information, which holds essential subscriber data. No misuse of the information has been confirmed, and the company is taking steps to enhance its security measures.
