The system, developed in partnership with DXC Technology, uses patient data to decide if and which antibiotics should be prescribed. In a pilot study, it was 90% accurate and identified that potentially 40% of antibiotic prescriptions were unnecessary, helping to combat the global issue of antibiotic resistance.
