Additionally, 63% of the participants believed that government officials do not understand the vulnerability of digital infrastructure to cyber attacks. The survey also addressed the controversial issue of encryption backdoors and found that 65% believe security would be worse if they were mandated.

Sonatype reports rise in open source malware to 17,954
The 1Q 2025 Open Source Malware Index from Sonatype revealed that open source malware packages doubled compared to the same period last year, with 56%
